Photographic images connect us to our past in ways that words and artifacts do not. "Seeing" real people, places, and things helps to personalize history and makes history come alive.
The Cherokee Strip Museum has an extensive photographic archive that provides a unique glimpse of life in Oklahoma. In order to share these photographs with more people, an exhibit titled Photography: Images of Our Past has been developed to highlight the museum's collection. We invite you to visit the museum, to view the changing exhibit in person, and to enjoy the exhibit on the website.
