Rose Hill School Preservation Campaign

the Cherokee Strip Historical Society will undertake a preservation and enhancement project dedicated to protecting Rose Hill School and honoring the generations of scholars who have shaped its legacy. This campaign will support the restoration of the schoolhouse’s historic wooden siding, windows, and doors, ensuring that this treasured piece of Oklahoma’s educational history remains standing for future generations. Beyond the schoolhouse itself, the project will include the installation of a new ADA-accessible ramp, historic rose landscaping, and a dedicated statue plaza. At the heart of this vision is a commemorative statue honoring the Rose Hill School program and the thousands of scholars, past and present, who have experienced a day in the classroom of 1910. Through these improvements, we hope to preserve the historic character of Rose Hill School while creating a more accessible, welcoming, and meaningful space for future generations. With the support of our community and generous donors, we can continue to protect this living piece of history and ensure that its educational legacy endures for years to come.
